My laptop is about to die, but I can't reach the charger

Don't shake your head at me your screen. That has totally happened to you. And then you've had to build up the willpower to get up and grab your charger, after which you sit down and claim that you've had enough exercise for the day. And then you continue to browse the Pinterest (follow me!) fitness boards.

Here's the deal: On Saturday, I went to go get my hair trimmed, because 1) I haven't gotten it cut in forever and 2) it was gettin' real straggly at the ends. All I wanted was a trim. Goodbye 5 inches of hair! And then I cried over it.
And then I cried some more because I thought I was a bad person for crying over a bad haircut and how entitled that made me seem.
And then this blog post of first world problems was born.
Tell me if you.....

have ever gotten "just a trim" which turns out to be incredibly short

have ever run out of space on a piece of paper with just a couple of lines worth left to write

try to write something after not writing for a long time and your handwriting is absolutely disgusting. In other words, your handwriting goes like this:

Moving on...

"your song" being played on the radio and becoming the world's most popular song. This happened to me with Lorde and Royals. I was so mad.

turning on the radio to catch the very end of your favorite song

when your pen runs out of ink and you're desperately trying to make it work

when you're trying to rip perforated paper out of a notebook and it rips the wrong way (IT'S PERFORATED FOR GOD'S SAKE THAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN)

when your phone is at 5% battery and you have to leave the house, so you charge it for two minutes and hope it lasts all day

when your friends yell at you because you haven't written a blog post in multiple days

when you take a really good picture and you want to make it your profile picture but you can't because you just changed your profile picture and you'll look narcissistic.

when you take 12093821039 pictures and SOMEONE closes their eyes in every. single. one.

So now be honest with me- do these frustrate all y'all or am I just the most easily annoyed person on the planet? What makes you want to just fall into your bed and scream into your pillow? Or at the very least, share your struggles with your besties over Snapchat?

  1. I usually get two of those together. Four words left to go and (1) the pen runs out of ink and (2) the paper runs out of space. It's the worst.

  2. Oh. A bad hair cut.....I HATE THOSE. I went in for a "trim" and some how my hair turned into a pixie cut. *Head in hands crying*

  3. The trim which turns into a cut has happened to me, and yes I have cried. I don't know why, usually it looks fine, just the drastic change is shocking for a second I guess…. haha

I think your cut looks great! xoxo

  4. Oh god, all of these periodically happen to me. When I go there I like to remind myself that I am just a tiny human being on a huge ball of rock, which is floating through space. I find that picturing it puts things in perspective without making me more miserable. :)

  7. I wish there was some way to magically lengthen the paper- just a little bit!

  10. Yeah, that's definitely a good way to keep perspective! I think we all have our little tantrums once in a while though :)

  11. I just don't know what it is about a "trim" that translates to 5 inches! Yay, I love your hair too! :)

  12. Yeah haha, while it's important to keep things in perspective, it's still fun to share your struggles! Thank you!

  14. I cried the first time I got a trim that ended up being a lopsided cut. It was horrible. So don't feel bad. If that is a pic of you with your new hair cut it looks nice. Not nearly as bad as what I had to deal with.

  15. Your hair looks great! I wanted a trim but the dresser cut waaay too much off but lucky me, my hair grows out pretty fast.

I laughed at the taking a really good selfie but can't change your profile pic. I know I take too many selfies when that problem arises and that's when I take a break from selfies.

  16. Oh goodness, I thought I was alone in that. No shame :) The good news is, your hair grew out and you looks great :)

  17. LOLOLOLOLOL. Omg EVERY SINGLE ONE. The worst thing on earth is your computer charger being out of reach and you have to actually GET UP. And the thing about songs being ruined...I found Somebody That I Used to Know literally like a year before it was on the radio...OK THANKS RADIO. And seriously so true at the prof pic one...SUCH A STRUGGLE. LIFE IS HARD.

  18. I so do the charge my phone for 2 minutes thing. I swear it really helps. :P And sorry about your too-short hair cut! I've heard many horror stories like that!

  19. Thanks! Yeah, I'm not that lucky. It took me a good two years to go from shoulder length to precut length. Selfies are the best!

  20. Nice information, many thanks to the author (www.technicoit.com) It is incomprehensible to me now, but in general, the usefulness and significance is overwhelming.
