100 Happy Days | Days 88 - 100!

Hey y'all! So it's been a few days since I finished the #100HappyDays challenge on Instagram, so I thought I should get around to writing my final recap. I'll be doing a post on my experience later this week, or early next week, but until then- yay for hella pictures! (hi marla).

Day 88: Throwback to grad with my IDC partner Hana! Hana and I are weirdly alike, from being Mindy Project obsessed to randomly dressing the same- our advisor constantly gets us confused!

Day 88 (pt. 2 I guess): So over the course of 100 days, I was bound to mess up the numbers at some point. I guess this was supposed to be day 89, but whatever. Another throwback to the county fair 12 years ago with someone I couldn't imagine my life without!

Day 89: OMG WHAT?! Yeah, you read right. I wrote a post about this a couple of weeks ago- here's the link.
Day 90: So I'm learning to drive, and on my first day of highway driving practice, I was blessed with this beautiful sunset! And no, I did not take this while driving.

Day 91: Spent a glorious Sunday at the lake with my family- hiking, biking, and kayaking!

Day 92: Throwback to 1 year ago, when I started working as a teacher with Breakthrough Silicon Valley! Check out my post on my experience here
Day 93: This stuff is amazing! My favorite ice cream flavor is mint chip and this did not disappoint. Also, the original photo wasn't this saturated; I'm not sure what's up with blogger.

Day 94: Looks amazing, doesn't it? I made my first ever smoothie bowl, and shared my experience and recipe here!

Day 95: I went to the art museum on a field trip with my art class last week, and I could not get over this beautiful painting from India! How amazing are those colors!?

Day 96: Apologies for the grime on the window, but the Caltrain was stuck for about 15 minutes, and this view definitely made things better!

Day 97: My favorite thing about summer is hands down the fruit. I would survive on berries and nectarines if my mother let me.
Day 98: Beach days filled with dolphin sitings, boogie boarding, and reading books are always the best!
Day 99: We received this adorable note and biscotti from our fabulous neighbors. What's not happy about this? Sidenote: I love my neighborhood- everyone is so nice and helpful ALL the time!

Day 100 (!!) A beautiful sunset right outside my house. Yes, I was standing in the middle of the road. No, it doesn't matter because hardly anyone comes down our street!

Okay, before I sign off, two things:
1. Sorry for the sometimes abysmal photo quality and resulting irregular image sizing and random white spaces from putting landscape photos on Instagram.  It drives me nuts too, but the challenge is over, so we won't have to worry about it anymore!
2. I hit 250 followers on Bloglovin' yesterday! I just wanted to thank all of you for reading on/commenting on my blog- it means more to me than you could know! Y'all are the best :) LOVE YOU!

Tiny Prints Makes My Life

Hey y'all! I hope you're as alive as one can be on a Monday morning.
So a couple of weeks ago happened to be my parent's 20th anniversary- 20 years of love, laughter, and learning to love each other's faults is a long time, so naturally, I wanted to do something memorable to commemorate the occasion.
That's why I was so excited when Tiny Prints, an branch of Shutterfly, I received an email from Tiny Prints about the fabulous services the site offers. One click, and I was in love- gorgeous, and completely customizable card designs, thank you notes, stationary- they have it all! On top of everything, their customer service is impeccable (Thank you Kricel, for all your help!)

I knew we'd be having a party for my Parent's 20th anniversary, but they didn't know what hit them when I set up these two cork boards with pictures from the last 25 years through present day. I called it "The History of the Rajanas"

In addition to the photos, I wanted my parents to have something to remember this day by, so I ordered two lovely sets of photocards from Tiny Prints, and had guests leave notes- advice, memories, good wishes- just about anything!
I've gotta say, it was a HUGE success. My parents were absolutely surprised, and all the guests loved the idea. It was so nice to go through the photos and relive the memories of the last 25 years, and even more fun to see how fashion has changed. (Look out for my post on why I'll never be a fashion blogger soon!)
As a little bonus to myself, I couldn't resist this adorable notebook. How cute is this?
I loved Tiny Prints, and I'll definitely be working with them again soon. Their service is amazing, and shipping is really fast too. The website said it would take 8 days, but my notebook got here in three!

Do you like to do things with your photos- apart from Instagram-ing them? (Yes, that is now a word). I love making prints and putting them up on my wall- I feel like there's a special quality that just can't be captured through digital images alone!

*I did receive free materials as a part of this collaboration, but all opinions stated above are mine.

Things You Probably Didn't Know About Me

Hey y'all! Before I descend into my cave [read: my room] to cram study for tomorrow's AP Bio test, I thought I'd take a few minutes to write about some of my weird quirks, other than listening to music and microwave cooking my little heart out. Everyone has little things that they don't post on the blog- things that people would only know about them if they knew them in real life. So, what do you probably not know about me?

I love apples and peanut butter. It's my favorite snack. Ever.

yum!

I've never been a superstitious person. Friday the 13th is just another day. In the last two weeks, I've become ridiculously protective of my bracelet. I wear it everywhere, and only take it off to shower.
I've had 8 tests this week (srsly not even kidding), and I've worn this during every test. I'm REALLY hoping I did well!

Sorry for the Snapchat picture. Sidenote: I love Snapchat- it's so fun! Add me- I'm himahearts.

I either dress really cute or like a hobo. These are usually closely tied to how I'm feeling about my hair on a given day. Exhibit A above, and Exhibit B below.

I have the cheesiest sense of humor. Ever.
Here's my latest joke- no harm intended in anyway:
How do Yiddish people insult one another?
"Oh my god, you're such a yidiot!"
What are your cheesiest jokes? tell me in the comments below!

This one had me laughing out loud.

Okay, ya'll. Time to go learn about my chromosomes. Wish me good luck! And, tell me something I probably don't know about you!

It Happens....

People I fall off of the face of the earth.
Big whoop. Sorry.
I'm baaaaaack!
A recap of the past week of my life would take entirely too long, both for you and for me, so let's just look at birthday party pictures okay?
To sum it up in a sentence: It felt amazing to quit worrying about school and the SAT for a few hours- not even a whole day, because I had taken a practice test that morning-and have fun with my friends, all dressed up and ready to let go too.
Shout-out to best friend Sneha for coming over early to help set up and for taking pictures for most of the night. I love you!

This photo was taken right before I started blowing confetti out of my hands. Unfortunately, those didn’t turn out, but I love this!

From second gradeish to infinity and beyond! Some day when we’re all grown up, the five of us can get together for coffee and reminisce about these times.

Frames make everything 1000 times cuter. It’s a fact.

And so do mason jars. HOLLA at Pinterest + my mom for these.

Is this not the best group picture ever?

Um, I love her. And we're adorable.

Unfortunately, yes, I did get caked. But, I got a tiara. The good outweighs the bad right?

Have you ever had a huge party before? How'd you like it? I think we can all agree that tiaras make everything better, right?

Sorry for the long absence again! Tell me what you've been up to while I've been gone!
